Memo: Political Violence has no Place in our Nation

On Sunday, July 14, 2024, AFSCME International President Lee Saunders issued a statement about the shooting that occurred at a Trump Rally in Butler, Pennsylvania on Saturday.

He said, “Political violence has no place in our nation. We resoundingly condemn this act. Our thoughts and prayers are with former President Donald Trump, the victims of this shooting, and their families.”

I just wanted to echo and share this statement to our membership of AFSCME Michigan.
