Greetings!

Member engagement is up! Members are taking advantage of the union meet and greets! These meetings give the union the ability to connect with our members and to hear what, if there are any questions or concerns, they might have. 

Stewards training at the state level is mandatory to become a union steward. The next training will be on Saturday September 14, 2026. Please take advantage of the training so that you can be on your way to serving your union brothers and sisters!

Many boards have been posted. One of the challenges has been getting the boards rekeyed. As they become available, we will be updating the boards. 

Not paying dues? Reach out to the union so that we can get you orientated and signed up!

Thanks to the members who showed up for the Labor Day Parade/March. The day was filled with solidarity, pride and strength throughout the labor community! I am proud to say loud and clear that I am proud AFSCME union member!

Election Day is November 3, 2026. Be sure to get out and vote!

District Stewards are needed on Central Campus! Please Join the team! 

As a District Steward, you will assist your fellow union members, Chief Stewards, and your Union when you become part of the team. If you are interested in joining, please email Angela Dameron, President, [email protected] or contact the union office at 734-480-1300.
