President's Report

October 18, 2025

Thank you to those of you who showed up for the Member Engagement Day on September 27, 2025. It was a good time for those who did attend.

Stewards training will be held on November 8, 2025, at the Council 925 Detroit location. Please follow the link below to register for the steward training class. The class fills up quickly so be sure to register as soon as possible at: https://miafscme.org/afscme-michigan-calendar/detroit-steward-training-2

I attended the P.E.O.P.L.E. conference on October 3rd. I was able to participate in Leadership training, Stewards training, and New Employee Orientation training. P.E.O.P.L.E. is the political arm of AFSCME. They use their power to elect candidates who support the interest of the union and protect the people’s interest that they serve.
