Thanks to the members who signed up for the P.E.O.P.L.E program. The raffle for the 55-inch color TV will be held on Saturday March 21. 2026. Attendance isn’t necessary to win the TV. If you are the selected winner, you will be required to pick the TV up from the union office. 

I want to thank the stewards for representing our members. Without stewards the union is nonexistent. Knowing that this is a selfless job and comes with very little praise I commend you for your hard work and dedication! 

Information about the upcoming AFSCME local 1583 Elections has been sent to you via email. It has also been posted on our website as well as the AFSCME official Facebook page. There will also be a mailout by Council 925.     

Welcome new members! Did you know that being a dues paying member and being in good standing allows you the opportunity to vote on your contract, to attend membership and information meetings as well as hold positions within the union? Contact the union and join today!

District Stewards are needed on Central Campus! Please Join the team!
