NOTICE: AFSCME Local 1583 - Contract Proposal Committee Runoff Election

Dear AFSCME Brothers and Sisters,

This is notification that there will be a runoff election as a result of the Contract Proposal Committee election, held on Sat., Nov. 16, 2024.

After verifying the membership status of two challenged votes from the Contract Proposal Committee election held on November 16, 2024—it has been verified that the two challenged votes can be added to the total vote.

As a result of the calculations and the ballots being added to the total number of votes, it resulted in a change to Laura Byrd’s total. It brings her total to twenty-one (21) votes which is equal to Jeremy Phillips twenty-one (21) votes. This will result in a runoff between the two members.

An official notice of the runoff will be sent out in the coming weeks.
